After studying a Bachelor of Animal Science (honours), I worked in a Veterinary Laboratory for 4 years before moving to Canada for 2 years.

My yoga journey began on my return from Canada, suffering from depression. Almost immediately after attending classes regularly, I found it had a profound effect on my mental health.

I experimented with different styles of yoga for about 5 years and then found Wendy Samek at Om Yoga School. The clarity and attention to precision of the anatomy of the body appealed to my scientific brain, and the philosophy interwoven into the classes gave me valuable tools to promote deeper awareness and self-healing.

I began Yoga Teacher Training with Wendy and fell pregnant at the same time. Therefore, motherhood and yoga went hand in hand for me and what a gift that has been and continues to be.

My interests lie in the science behind yoga, the effects it has on mental health and also yoga for pregnancy. My wish as a teacher and a practitioner of yoga is to encourage everyone, whatever age and aptitude, to enjoy and benefit from these ancient teachings which promote growth of the physical, the emotional and spiritual self.
