Jenny Faulks

I started in 1989 as a Certified Group Fitness Instructor with the privilege of leading indoor and aquatic exercise for over 20 years. My yoga journey began in 2001 with hybrid flow styles, and in 2013 Iyengar Yoga found me at a time when long-standing injuries were affecting my health and well-being. Iyengar Yoga has been my pathway since.

I am incredibly grateful to the highly skilled and generous Iyengar Yoga teacher and practitioner community in Adelaide and interstate. Their dedication, support and passion ignited my curiosity and deepened my yoga practice. This journey led me unexpectedly to formal mentoring and ongoing teacher training with Senior Iyengar Teacher Darrin McNally at Kensington School of Yoga and Croydon Yoga Studio.

I am passionate about the far-reaching physical and emotional health benefits of yoga and its deeper layers. The breath, concentration, focus, steadiness, balance, lightness and clarity that yoga brings contribute to an inner sense of calm and well-being. I enjoy exploring different ways of doing and having fun too. I regularly attend classes, intensives and annual retreats with experienced Iyengar Teachers, continually learning, discovering, observing and growing in my practice.

We are all students, practitioners and teachers on our yoga journey. I look forward to sharing time, space and learning with you on the mat at OM Yoga.

“If the body is stiff, that is understandable. But if the mind is stiff, then you can’t get anywhere. The mind has to become flexible.” Geeta S. Iyengar

“Yoga illuminates your life. If you practise sincerely, with seriousness and honesty, its light will spread to all aspects of your life.” Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar
